Kaiārahi Mātuatanga (Parenting Programme Facilitator) (Fixed term, Full Time)

This role is fixed term for 2 years, until October 2027 located in our Putaruru office and supports whanau across the South Waikato.

Raukawa Charitable Trust is seeking a Kaiārahi Mātuatanga to lead the development and facilitation of our Tiwai Hauora Parenting Program. We see a pressing need for parenting program support to deliver programs that are tailored, accessible, culturally responsive and integrated into broader whānau support frameworks. This role is pivotal in uplifting the mana of whānau, supporting positive outcomes for tamariki, and weaving Mātauranga Māori into everyday practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver an evidence-based parenting program grounded in Mātauranga Māori.
  • Facilitate whānau engagement with compassion and cultural safety.
  • Coordinate wraparound support and referrals in collaboration with internal and external services.
  • Build strong relationships with community providers and stakeholders.
  • Support integration across Tiwai Hauora services and contribute to continuous improvement.

What You’ll Bring:

  • A relevant qualification in Social Work, Health, Education, or related field.
  • Experience in designing and delivering parenting programs.
  • Strong knowledge of Māori models of practice and whānau wellbeing.
  • Excellent facilitation and relational skills.
  • A full Class 1 driver’s license.

Desirable: Accreditation in evidence-based parenting programs (e.g., Circle of Security, Tupuna Parenting) and experience in Kaupapa Māori or Iwi-based organisations.
