 Alcohol and Other Drug Clinician

(Full Time, Fixed Term – Parental Leave coverage)

The Role:

We have a unique opportunity for a professional within our Mental Health & Addictions Team. Reporting to the Clinical Lead: Mental Health & Addictions we are looking to covering parental leave from November 2025 for a 12-month fixed term contract.

  • Alcohol & Other Drug Clinician (Full time, Fixed Term) 

This role provides a community or out-patient based alcohol and drug assessment, treatment, and consultation/liaison service within a kaupapa Māori framework. Whilst primarily based in the Tokoroa office, these roles will involve some travel to our satellite offices in Putaruru, Matamata and Te Awamutu to support whanau.

About You:

We are looking for someone who is a registered health practitioner from a Nursing, Social Services, or Allied Health background with specific experience in alcohol and other drug counselling. You must also hold or be working towards a current DAPAANZ registration. You will be able to demonstrate your knowledge of Māori models of health, and experience of your work within the community at all levels. 

A tertiary level qualification in the mental health and/or addictions field, as well as a minimum of three years’ experience will be advantageous.
